Palmer Capital’s Head of Core REIM, Rupert Sheldon, is about to embark on a 1,500 km cycle ride from London to Cannes which will take place over six days from 8-13 March alongside Legal & General.
With training almost complete through rain, snow and sub-zero temperatures, Rupert looks forward to the balmy weather of Cannes in March! But before then the serious matter of raising funds, principally for the ride’s chosen charity Coram.
There are 200 participants with a combined commitment to raise up to £1m for this wonderful cause.
Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity focussing its activities on providing financial and emotional support for vulnerable children and young adults through fostering and adoption services together with homeless outreach provision and wider counselling. Coram have been doing this work since 1739 and help hundreds of thousands of children every year. With our collective help Coram can continue to make a difference.
The ride will go through the heart of France taking in some wonderful countryside along the way. However, at an average of 250 km’s per day, back-to-back for six days, it promises to be a gruelling assignment.
