Palmer Capital are in search of a Director of Innovation to lead the business drive into the use of new technology and data. Palmer Capital owns and manages over £850m of UK real estate assets and aims to be at the forefront of the prop tech revolution. The business has a team of around 30 staff in London and fosters a friendly culture that mixes entrepreneurship with integrity and trust. The senior team are a mix of property, legal and financial professionals who have worked together for many years to help grow a highly successful and respected business.
This newly created senior role will lead both internal change to optimise the use of technology and oversee selected external VC investments in proptech. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of innovation within the Palmer Capital business. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, a qualified lawyer and board member, this role will involve leading in the planning and delivery of Palmer Capital’s digital transformation strategy which aims to standardise, automate, digitise and capture Palmer Capital’s business intelligence data in a single repository. The business aims to put data at its heart to enable it to drive and promote agile decision making in a changing world.
The candidate should have a strong strategic understanding of technology and, ideally, an understanding of the UK real estate market. Ideal candidates could have a computer science, IT or engineering background, but they may also have worked in property or asset management and simply have a strong interest in technology.
