Nicholson takes control of Fiera-backed development company
Ex-Argent and Kier Property man James Nicholson has taken sole control of Harlex, the Fiera-backed investment and development vehicle set up in 2017, React News can reveal.
Nicholson launched Manchester-based Harlex in October 2017 with the backing of Palmer Capital and Fiera, and become one of Fiera’s regional investment vehicles along with the likes of Opus Land, Cubex, and Packaged Living, specialising in the North West market.

The site, currently with an outline planning consent secured by master developer Countryside Properties was purchased for cGBP10 million on behalf of Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund V UK (FREOF V UK), the latest fund in Fiera Real Estate’s programmatic venture series with CBRE Global Investment Partners (CBRE GIP).

Fiera Real Estate and Wrenbridge are set to develop a £50m logistics scheme in Bishops’s Stortford, after buying an 8.5 acre site in the town.
The site already has outline planning consent, secured by master developer Countryside Properties. It was acquired for around £10m on behalf of Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund V UK, the latest fund in Fiera Real Estate’s programmatic venture series with CBRE Global Investment Partners.
Fiera and Wrenbridge plot £50m logistics scheme after latest buy
Fiera Real Estate and Wrenbridge are planning to deliver more than 200,000 sq ft of logistics after buying a site in Bishop’s Stortford, React News can reveal.
The partners have bought the site to the south of the town on the Hertfordshire-Essex border on behalf of the Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund for around £10m. The buy is the fund’s eighth and takes the total amount committed past £100m.
