The Sun’s front page teased readers that foreign travel curbs meant they’d be splashing their cash at the much-maligned seaside town of Bognor Regis this year. Less than two weeks earlier, it had emerged Blackstone was in talks to spend about 900 million pounds ($1.3 billion) on a majority stake in the owner of Butlins, which has run a popular holiday park in the south-England town for 60 years.

Build-to-rent specialist driving forward in Manchester

Plans for 350 apartments on Heyrod Street within Manchester’s emerging Piccadilly East district have been approved by the city council.

Fiera Real Estate and its BTR platform Packaged Living have received planning consent for an £80m scheme in Piccadilly East, Manchester. The 352-flat scheme was approved by a delegated decision from Manchester City Council.

Angle Property has completed the first acquisition of 2021 for the Angle Opportunity Fund. The purchase of Brook House on Cain Road in the established Western Industrial area of Bracknell was completed with the simultaneous surrender of the lease by Vodafone, less than two months after agreeing terms.
