Bristol city centre has limited options for Grade A space, but local developer Cubex is working towards solving this issue

Bristol city centre continues to serve as a top location for business which means that there is an increasing demand for space. High quality space and enhanced on-site amenities are key. As the market currently stands, options are limited for businesses seeking grade A space.

To increase the quality of space Bristol has to offer, one development scheme in the pipeline is Cubex’s Halo, Finzels Reach.

Halo, a new contemporary office building, will form part of Cubex’s redevelopment of the former headquarters site of Avon Fire and Rescue in Bristol city centre, the development will be a 100,000 sq ft of office space together with over 300 homes for the rental market. The new Grade A HQ office building will be built speculatively with an expected completion date of mid-2021.

Halo will be let to either a single company or range of organisations on a floor by floor basis. It will cater for around 1,500 staff, supporting Bristol’s growing economy.

Smarter working is becoming increasingly popular and important to occupiers. In order to future proof the building, Halo will offer ‘smart’ offices with cutting-edge technological and sustainable features, including high efficiency LED lights with daylight and occupancy intelligent digital controls and roof mounted photo voltaic panels for the generation of electricity for the building. The building will include a unique corkscrew-like staircase which will rise-up through a glass atrium, providing natural light to each floor and lead to a rooftop terrace.

Development sites in the city centre as such are few and far between, Halo is expected to attract leading businesses to this already thriving city centre community and business hub.

Bristol developer Cubex has appointed property agents Lambert Smith Hampton and Knight Frank.
