On Saturday 30th July, Colworth Park will invite a mix of tenants, business partners and members of the local community for an afternoon of fun, as they host another of their popular summer fetes at their Sharnbrook home.
In addition to the usual stalls, BBQ, games and family entertainment, the event will also mark the official opening of Colworth House; the Grade II* listed mansion house, situated at the centre of the R&D hub, that has been under refurbishment since February.
At the event, visitors can enjoy a tour of the revamped historic mansion, which has been transformed into contemporary business accommodation. The location will offer bespoke spaces to accommodate anything from a one-person micro-office up to suites for 30 people or more. The offices and business suites benefit from being housed in a bright, contemporary space with charming architectural detail and set in a beautiful parkland environment.
The popular summer fete, which opens from 12-4pm, will feature lots of activities to keep the kids entertained – from mini golf, face painting, a bouncy castle and a reptile show. There’s plenty for adults too – with over 20 stallholders pitching up to sell a range of local crafts, food, gifts and more. Not forgetting a chance to get competitive at the rugby target ball challenge.
Keith Purdie said “We’re really excited about the official launch of Colworth House – it’s been an ambitious project and I’m delighted that we’re ready to bring Colworth House to a new audience and give future occupiers a genuinely different offering for their business.
“The opening of Colworth House heralds an exciting future for the park, as we attract a more diverse pool of businesses on-site and expand our dynamic, collaborative tenant community. We believe the quality of the space and the environment at Colworth really sets it apart.”
“It will be great for the fete visitors to see the transformation of Colworth House. The summer fete is our most popular community event, so it is fitting that we celebrate our milestone with our friends and supporters of the park. Those that are interested, can join us on a tour around the house, before getting stuck in with the usual summer fete antics of games, stalls, food, entertainment and more.”
He added: “We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone at what we hope becomes a calendar event for the local community.”
